What the Tasks page is for
The to-do items that are not jobs: the call to make, the part to order, the follow-up that would otherwise live on a sticky note.

A job is work for a technician at a building. A task is everything around it that still has to happen: confirm access with the customer, order the replacement head, chase the PO, call back about the quote. Tasks give those things an owner, a due date and a status, in the same place as the jobs they support.

Who it is for
Anyone in the office who owes someone a follow-up, and the manager who wants to see what is owed.
Without it
Follow-ups live in inboxes, notebooks and memory. When the person who promised the callback is out, the callback does not happen, and nobody knows it was promised.
What it shows
The standard task list scoped to Jobs. Search by title, description or assignee. Multi-select filters for Status, Priority and Module, rendered as chips. Rows show the task with its assignees and an Actions column. Add Task and the row's edit action open the shared Task Edit modal: title, description, status, priority and due date on one row, assignees, and attachments with Download and Delete.
What it is worth
  • An owner and a date. A follow-up with an assignee and a due date gets done, or at least gets noticed.
  • Visible when the owner is out. The list is company-wide, so a colleague can pick up what was promised.
  • Attachments on the task. The PO, the photo, the email thread sit with the task rather than in a folder.
Pays for itself the first promised callback made on the day it was due by someone other than the person who promised it.

Where to go next

  • Your own tasks across every module are on My Tasks under Home.
  • Requests raised by technicians from the field (reschedule, reassignment, cancellation) are not tasks; they are Field Requests and are approved or denied there.
  • Work that a technician must perform at a building is a job, not a task. Create it under New Inspection or New Service.

Good to know

  • One task list, many modules. Tasks carry a module, and this page is the same list filtered to Jobs. The Module filter widens it.
  • The edit modal is shared. The same Task Edit modal opens from Jobs, Projects, Help and Field Requests, so a task looks the same everywhere.
  • Deleting an attachment asks first. The Delete tile opens a Delete Attachment confirm.
  • Filters are remembered. Status, Priority and Module selections persist between visits.
