What the Content pages are for
Three shelves: a file store for the office, a scratch pad for quick notes, and the curated Library your people and technicians read from.

Not every document belongs to a job, a customer or a building. Procedures, forms, cut sheets, insurance certificates and the note someone jotted during a call all need somewhere to live that the whole office can reach. These three pages are that somewhere, and one of them, the Library, is published straight to the field.

File Storage

Open File Storage
Who it is for
The office. Anyone who has a document with no record to attach it to.
Without it
Files that belong to no job end up on a shared drive nobody can reach from the app, or as attachments to the wrong record because that was the only place with an upload button.
What it shows
A folder-based file store. A breadcrumb trail shows the folder path, a search box filters within the current folder, and the table lists Name, Size, Added By, Added and Actions. New Folder and Upload buttons sit in the header.
What it is worth
  • A home for the homeless file. Company documents stored in the same app as everything else.
  • Folders, not tags. The structure the office already thinks in.
  • Who added it, and when. Every file carries its author and date.
Pays for itself the first certificate of insurance found in the app instead of on someone's desktop.

Scratch Pad

Open Scratch Pad
Who it is for
Anyone at a desk with a phone in one hand.
Without it
The note goes on a sticky, a notepad or a text file, and the next person to need it does not know it exists.
What it shows
Quick notes for the office: a searchable list of notes and a New Note modal with a Title and the Note itself.
What it is worth
  • Faster than finding the right record. Write it down now, file it properly later, or not at all.
  • Shared by default. Notes are the office's, not one person's, so a handover needs no forwarding.
  • Searchable. The gate code someone wrote down in March is findable in September.
Pays for itself the first time a note someone else wrote answers the question on your call.

Library

Open Library
Who it is for
Whoever curates what the field and the office should be reading from.
Without it
Procedures, forms and cut sheets reach technicians by email and text, and every truck carries a different version. Nobody can say which document is current or who has it.
What it shows
The management side of the company Library. A folder rail on the left; selecting a folder loads its files into the table on the right with Name, Size, Added By, Added and Actions, and an upload into that folder. New Folder asks for a name, a Role label (All Team, Billing, Estimators or Technicians) and a description. Who can see a folder is granted per user under Admin › Users › Library. Users read it under Home › Library, and technicians see their granted folders as a Library tab in the field app.
What it is worth
  • One current copy. Replace the file in the folder and every reader has the new version.
  • Published to the field. A granted folder appears in the technician's app without an email.
  • Access by person. A folder is seen by exactly the users it has been granted to.
  • Organised by audience. The Role label groups folders in the rail by who they are for.
Pays for itself the first procedure updated once, in one folder, instead of re-sent to every technician.

Where to go next

  • The reading side of the Library, what a granted user actually sees, is Home › Library.
  • Granting a folder to a person is done on their user record under Admin › Users › Library, and the New User wizard offers the same grants.
  • Stored Files and Library Files are counted on the Resource Dashboard, with Library Files by Folder showing which folders are still empty.

Good to know

  • Library access is per user, not per role. The Role on a folder is a label for organising the rail; visibility comes only from the per-user grant.
  • The Library has two sides. Resource curates; Home and the field app consume.
  • The field app tab is conditional. A technician sees a Library tab only while they have at least one granted folder.
  • File Storage and Scratch Pad are company-wide. Everything in them is visible to the whole account.
