What the Operations dashboard is for
One screen over the four back-office functions that keep the field running: the hours being worked, the trucks, the parts on them, and the customers waiting on an answer.

Operations is four functions under one tab: Inventory (parts in warehouses and on trucks), Fleet (the vehicles), Time (timesheets and paid time off) and Support (the company's own help desk for its customers). Each has its own dashboard and its own grids. This page rolls the four together so the person responsible for all of them starts in one place.

Who it is for
The operations manager, and the owner on the days they are covering for one.
Without it
Four sub-areas mean four dashboards to open every morning. The timesheet waiting on approval, the truck due for service and the fitting that just ran out are all real, and all in different places.
What it shows
Four cards: Hours This Week, Clocked In, Pending Reviews, and Alerts, where Alerts is the fleet's maintenance-due and compliance count plus inventory's low-stock and out-of-stock count. Two charts for the week: Hours by Day and Work Type Breakdown. Then three summaries side by side. Time Tracking: Pending Approvals and Pending PTO with an employee and hours list. Fleet Management: Active Vehicles, Maintenance Due and Monthly Cost with the vehicles due. Inventory: Total Items, Low Stock and Out of Stock with the item, store and quantity behind them.
What it is worth
  • One number for "does anything need me today". Alerts adds up every due, expiring, low and empty item across fleet and inventory.
  • The approval queue is on the front page. Pending Reviews and Pending PTO are the two things that hold up payroll and people's plans when they sit.
  • The week's hours as they accrue. Hours by Day and the work-type split say whether the week is tracking to plan before the timesheets are closed.
Pays for itself the first Monday the whole back office is checked from one page before the first cup of coffee is finished.

Good to know

  • Licensing. A tenant may be licensed for all of Operations or for the individual Inventory, Fleet, Time or Support pieces. A section you are not licensed for is hidden from the sidebar.
  • Hours This Week counts from Monday, the same window Timesheets uses for its This Week drill, so the card and the grid reconcile.
  • Clocked In is every time entry with no clock-out yet.
  • Quick Actions are modals. Log Fuel, Log Service, Log Transaction, Add Time Entry and Submit PTO all open in place from their dashboards without leaving the page.
  • Support here is the company's own desk for its customers. Feedback and bug reports to InspectSync live under Home.
