Service work is where an inspection company's margin is made or lost. It is quoted quickly, performed by whoever is nearest, and invoiced from a list of parts and hours. This dashboard is the only place all of that is added up by type, by technician and by customer, with the margin beside every total.

The service manager and the owner.
Without it
Service revenue is known from the invoices, after the fact. Margin by service type or by technician is not known at all. The service quote approval rate is an anecdote, and the price list is adjusted on instinct.
What it shows
Filters for Service Type and Period. Two rows of cards: Total Services, Completed, Revenue and Average Revenue; then Average Duration, Quote Approval rate, Parts Cost and Average Margin. A Leaderboard ranks the period three ways: By Service Type, By Technician and By Customer. A detail table lists every service in the period with its type, customer, building, technician, status, completed date, item count, cost, sell and margin.
What it is worth
- Which work is worth selling. Margin by service type says which services to push and which to reprice.
- Who is efficient, and who sells on site. The By Technician ranking shows who turns service calls into revenue, and the approval rate shows how well the quotes they write convert.
- Which customers are worth the drive. By Customer ranks the accounts that generate service revenue, and the ones that only generate calls.
- Where the ticket is thin. Average Duration beside Average Revenue shows the work that takes the longest for the least.
- The audit trail. The detail table is every service in the period with its cost, sell and margin, so any card can be checked line by line.
Pays for itself the first service type discovered to have plenty of volume and no margin, and the price list changes.
Where to go next
- Narrow to one Service Type and the By Technician leaderboard becomes the people who do that work. For one technician's full picture, follow their name into the Tech Scorecard.
- Service work that is finished but not yet invoiced shows up as Uninvoiced Work on the Cash Outlook, with what a morning of invoicing would move into the inflows.
- Accepted service quotes not yet performed are counted as hours owed on Workload & Capacity and as scheduled revenue on the Revenue Outlook.
Rules every Analytics page keeps
- Every card drills. Stat cards and chart segments open the source grid, pre-filtered, and the counts reconcile.
- Every page is company-wide. Nothing here is scoped to the signed-in user. You narrow by choice, not by login.
- Periods are consistent. The same period picker appears wherever a period applies, and a period chosen on one page is carried into the page you drill into.
- The URL is the state. Windows and filters live in the address bar, so any view can be bookmarked or shared.
